Welcome to SCEDC

Somerset County Economic Development Council (SCEDC) is a non-profit organization who has been promoting economic development and job creation in Somerset County since 1957. We pride ourselves on the promotion and expansion of industrial, commercial, and retail businesses in Somerset County by helping new companies locate within the county, while continually assisting existing companies.

SCEDC understands that there are universal challenges facing Somerset County government, business and workforce development professionals. We are attempting to create an environment necessary to accentuate the viability of various new and existing products and processes. SCEDC wishes to ensure that our workforce adapts to a wide range of emerging trends in a way that will translate into increased economic prosperity for all individuals. We intend to retain, expand, and attract jobs, income and wealth in such a way that would improve individual economic opportunities and the quality of life within "America's County."
