There are 218 acres in the North Star- Route 30 Keystone Opportunity Zone (KOZ). Any business locating in this area will pay no state or local taxes until January of 2009. This section consists of 6 separate parcels located in Jenner Township and the North Star School District. The North Star KOZ-Route 30 site is 15 miles south of the Johnstown/ Windber area and 15 miles north of the PA Turnpike Exit #10 at Somerset.
